I was charmed to see Ben Wilson’s gum paintings featured in The New York Times last month. Although he began his artistic career as a sculptor working mostly in wood, the Times reports that, for the past six years, Wilson has devoted himself to  painting thousands of tiny pictures on the discarded, flattened gum  blobs of London’s pavements.
